Howl-O-Scream At Busch Gardens Tampa : Construction Update (8-9-14)

As opening day for Howl-O-Scream 2014 nears closer and closer, construction on more houses has begun in several other locations throughout the park. Below you can find the second article in our "Howl-O-Scream 2014 Construction Update" series. Our latest article features some very interesting pictures that do confirm the return of two more houses! To find out which two houses will be returning, check out our blog post below.

Nairobi Area House

Since our last visit to the park two weeks ago, not much has changed at the work site of the Nairobi area house. Black plastic drapes have blocked all of the entrances of the house from the front side, while black walls have been put up along the rear of the house. As I said earlier, not much has changed from the outside, but the inside of the house has been buzzing with activity as crews are working hard to make the interior of this house ready for this year's event

More Confirmed Houses

The Experiment

Preparations for the Egypt area haunted house are also underway. As of mid last week, a white tent was put up over the entrance of the once Tut's Tomb walkthrough attraction. To give you some background information on the relation between the Tut's Tomb walkthrough attraction & Howl-O-Scream, Tut's Tomb closed mid 2013 in order to be remodeled for Howl-O-Scream's brand new haunted house experience called "The Experiment". Since the final night of Howl-O-Scream 2013, Tut's Tomb never reopened for the 2014 season making many believe the entire Experiment house is assembled and ready to go for the Howl-O-Scream 2014 event. Upon further investigation, we can confirm The Experiment house will be returning to this year's event & that the house has indeed remained assembled this entire year. The flaps of the exterior tent were pulled back and we were able to snap a picture of some signage on the reception area desk of the haunted house.

The Basement

Preparations for the Bird Gardens area haunted house are also underway at a very surprising rate! While not visible from the main guest pathway but still viewable without entering any restricted or behind the scenes areas, props for The Basement haunted house are already in place, confirming its return! We can confirm The Basement's return by recognizing the "Mommas Meats" logo on several props found throughout the area. If you don't remember or haven't attended last years event, Mommas Meats was the name of the butchers shop located inside of The Basement haunted house. With our background Howl-O-Scream knowledge & the few pictures we snapped, we're sure we'll be seeing The Basement haunted house in this year's Howl-O-Scream event!

To those who might ask where these pictures were taken from. ~ All pictures displayed were taken from guest walkways and in no way did we enter restricted or behind the scenes areas!
