Renovations Begin On The Pantopia Grill

If you've visited Busch Gardens recently, you might have discovered that one of the parks best restaurants and entertainment venues, The Pantopia Grill, has closed its doors and has gone silent. Not to worry, this is all part of an extensive refurbishment of the restaurant that will likely span to late May or early June. With this refurbishment, some big changes are coming to The Pantopia Grill. To find out more, check out our blog post below.

Mid last year, The BGT Buzz uncovered construction permits filed by Busch Gardens Tampa requesting permission to begin an interior remodel of The Pantopia Grill around the beginning of 2015. As of today, we can confirm that construction inside the restaurant has begun, and that more details surrounding the new Pantopia Grill are slowly starting to emerge.

Projected to open later this year, "Dragonfire Grill" will transform the current Pantopia Grill into a food court style eatery with a variety of food options ranging from Italian, American, Mexican, and Asian cuisines. While the full service bar, seating area, and stage will all remain the same, the existing food service lines are currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment to transform them into the respective regional kitchens. If you're familiar with the layout of Expedition Café at SeaWorld Orlando's "Antarctica : Empire Of The Penguin", it's very likely that Dragonfire Grill at Busch Gardens Tampa will receive the same layout when it opens later this year.

Also, Busch Gardens has released information regarding a brand new grab-and-go coffee station inside the Dragonfire Grill featuring a Starbucks counter! Also, the park has announced that they will be increasing the number of craft beer selections that will be found at the Dragonfire Grill.

In a recent email to the park, Travis Claytor, a spokesperson for Busch Gardens commented, "The new Dragonfire Grill will be transformed in to a Food Court unlike anything our park has seen before featuring a variety of different cuisines". By the sound of it, it seems like everyone's excited for the opening of The Dragonfire Grill, coming soon to Busch Gardens Tampa!
